Registration Status Question

A domain I just looked at has the following info (well similar):

Relevant dates:

Expiry date: 14-Feb-2013
Last updated: 17-Mar-2012


Registration status:
Registered until expiry date.
*** This registration has been SUSPENDED. ***


Can anyone inform me of why a registration would be suspended where the domain does not expire until next year?
