Wanted: Website Review RecyclingBins.co.uk

Hey guys,

just had designed, what do you think? yet to style product pages etc.

Not sure i like the 3rd slide yet either, colour is offending my eyes a little.

Not sure if any of the following is yet to be done if you've only just had the design back, but I'll mention them anyway (only had a quick look)...

• Menu text isn't quite centred vertically or horizontally
• When there's an item in the cart, the cart total in the header is in $
• Perhaps change the word 'checkout' in the header to 'view cart' or make the cart link clickable (I realise when clicked on it does go to the cart, but it gives the impression to me that it's going to go straight to checkout)
• Was expecting the special offer banner, sliders and other boxes on the homepage to be clickable
• Looks a little too much white space between end of content and footer
• Centre the footer links and have them on one line

Thanks for such a detailed response, it really is just out of design stage, so some points have not been made clickable yet, others were great points and will get those done straight away.

Agree with the points wb has made however, I think it's really nice looking site - a lot better than some of the other sites I have see here of late!

It seems that most of the problems found are already addressed. Just 3 important comments from me:
1. The bottom texts: About Us | Customer Service and Sitemap | Search Terms, etc I think it's
better if they are all aligned with no "/n" or "enter" space.
2. The "monthly special offer" picture should link to checkout or the description of the product that
will encourage the viewers to buy.
3. The site is not search engine optimized (On-page and Off-page). I can tell because it still uses
the title "Homepage" instead of "Recycling Bins in UK - cheapest ever" or anything that can
describe the site apart from its competitors. And it has no backlinks yet.

i was thinking of doing a site for recycling bins and I came across this site (I think) with a holding page on it a few months ago.

Hi, I bought it about 4 months ago i think. How do you mean you were thinking of doing a site on it? Did you previously own it?

Thanks for the feedback, it was designed in house and uses Magento. Not quite finished though, adding products and then will finish design amends.

never owned it, but if a decent domain for recycling bins was unregged I was going to try a site.

I couldn't find one however!

what did you pay? no worries if you don't want to disclose.
