Does anyone know a registrar with reasonable renewal rates for .CO.UK (ex. 2K-3K renewals)?

Thanks in advance.

Nominet members, £4.50 per year inc vat. Membership would be ~£600, would easily save that.

If you renewed over a longer time period say 4 yrs, various people could beat that easily.

I'd say some could comfortably hit the £4.25 mark with a basic margin. I'm doing most of my LLLs for 4 yrs+, and working through what I want to renew long term.

Anyone you find willing to do this, who is able to do this, would only have 3-4 days left to do it.

The price I quoted is inclusive of VAT. Given the rules of fight club, I'm not allowed to talk about the economics or how you would get it. It wouldn't make any difference to his own tag though and in 4 n half days its moot.

With Daily you would also need to consider the tag change fee's, or the number of nom-transfer you would need to do (not sure how many domains you can do per transfer?).

Edit: I believe daily charge for tag changes now, but this maybe old information.

Without doing the work or maths, off the top of my head there maybe a way to do the whole 3,000 for less than £11k including VAT.

You'd need a brain, a trusted person, and someone to go:

I would assume, he would want to return the domains to his chosen registrar, but indeed he could leave them with Daily/HEG/GoDaddy/

How many names can you put in 1 transfer request ? I'm sure there is a limit where by the form simply breaks (I could be remembering it wrong, but sure a member had issues with the forms timing out).

Why would Original Poster need to change the registrar "tag"? Purchaser pays Nominet's transfer fee which includes optional registrar change whenever OP makes a sale.

Registrar change fee per domain name or per [Nominet] account is listed in fee schedule (registrant transfer fee is definitely not just per domain name and AFAIK should also be listed as "or per Nominet account" so I will point out to staff that this needs correcting within this document).

Nominet membership and being a registrar may also offers access to promotional activities and pricing.

Just a quick point, I'm looking to become a Nom member and get my own TAG. Nominet customer services recommended waiting until the end of July as they rebill the annual membership on a fixed 1st August date. So the maths if you looked at a year being 12 months from today are £400, £50 membership fee until the end of July (discounted from £100 in the first year as it's passed Feb) and then another £100 for the Aug 2017-July 2018 period.

I think that's right from what she explained!

Most cost effective solution is a membership with that amount of domains.

Without breaking fight club rules, the .uk situation and receding/stagnating numbers mean there are plenty of good reasons to believe there will be beneficial promotions available to tag holders with the next 18 months to prop things up as it were, so unless you going to get a below wholesale price (which is possible) it would be better to get a tag and renew month to month.

If holding the funds is an issue, maybe preload it into the nom unallocated funds.

Agreed. There are various registration/renewal promotions that have been previously, or are available, to Nominet Members. No specifics, but they're definitely "interesting". It's a fair bet Members will be offered more promotions in the future.
