The new Raspberry Pi was released last week and sold out 10,000 within 2 minutes. Millions from around the world have showed their interest in this and back order is stretching currently until end of June 2012. These domains could be a nice little earner.

Given that the Pi is designed as a low cost educational tool and is produced under license by RS & Farnell at a specified cost, I can't see much potential. Also worth noting that a number of ebay sellers were reported & closed down on the release day for trying to offer boards outside the reseller channel.

but then he's talking about Apps for it, not a rasppi itself. It could be massive. Certainly a blog/news/reviews site would fit nicely. Whether you could monetize that effectively is the question...

Thanks Steve, pretty much summed that up. The only thing they are getting funny about is selling the board for a profit. They have said from the start they will advise people not to buy them and remove any from ebay. The PIs are going to be massive as already proved from first release. If done correctly this could work well.

Certainly a lot of interest in Pi from a lot of different sectors (HDMI at 1080p makes it appealing as a media player!), as long as you avoid the actual hardware you should be fine, as Steve suggests, can you make money from it though? A market to watch. - Good luck
