Agree with Julian, even the co.uk wouldn't be that attractive.
far better me.uk's to register if you must and there will be a multitude of dropped me.uk's in the future.
the litmus test is: can you develop it ?
can you flip it ?
if the answer to these questions is no

are you prepared to sit on it for 10 years ?
if still the answer is no, then don't register it.

I would keep your powder dry, lot's of opportunities in the future as people lose the plot and change direction.
