What do you guys think?

I considered setting up a printing business and may still if it doesn't sell, but can't at the moment.

Appraisals please.

Can't see how the "send" word fits in with Print. Not in a business sense

Which came first the idea for the business or the domain?

When I saw it I thought of http://postagramapp.com/ where you can get a postcard printed and sent directly from an app on your phone.

Also you have companies who do bulk printing and mailing such as http://www.mailandprint.co.uk/

Although there are uses I don't think it is a brilliant domain and I certainly wouldn't start a business on the strength of it.

I had a chance to buy a decent Xerox printer cheaply which would be a suitable printer for my initial workload but nothing came of it. When I saw it I started looking into domains. I am pretty good with web development so there was no real cost to get it going. I thought printsend.co.uk would be a good domain name as it unambiguous and it's .co.uk which is perfect as I wouldn't be posting outside of the uk.

postagramapp.com very interesting but it is just filling a niche. My idea was to allow upload of documents to be printed and sent. Not photographs or anything fancy to start with. Just e.g. applications, CV's, thesis etc.

The problem is the high quality of home printers these days is far better than Office systems of just a couple of years ago. And certainly better than most users want for the services your proposing.

I could understand if your in some location/country where access to technology is a difficulty.

Look at domains as shop fronts what your saying is if no one wants to use yours e.g. address, location, natural footfall, access etc are no good for that type of business.

You’ll open a shop there even though its unsuitable not exactly a great business plain ,,,

huh? could you please explain your reasoning. Are you simply saying printsend.co.uk is an unsuitable name? if so, how exactly?

I agree, I just bought a very good Samsung laser printer for £50.

Additionally if you are talking about sending regular documents such as CV's and applications many of these will require an applicants signature so they wouldn't want someone else sending them for them....there are also plenty of high street options for printing regular documents such as Mail Boxes etc

If you were to offer a niche or specialist type of printing then it might be a different matter....

Apart from its actual financial feasibility as an actual business... the name is to put no finer point terrible, do you go into a printers and ask if they “send” or do a “send service” distribute, mail, post maybe why do you think its good,,,
