Already PM'd you regarding Automobiles.co.uk

Also just found following car related ones I'd forgotten about:

BrandNewCars.co.uk
AutoPlates.co.uk
CarSavings.co.uk
DiscountCar.co.uk
PrivateCarHire.co.uk
AmericanAuto.co.uk

Mark.

autotrade.co.uk
carcredit.co.uk

Both generic, and both owned by a client. To respectfully clarify things, for you and for anyone else who might be curious, they don't publish prices for a number of legitimate and sensible reasons. However £10k for either wouldn't make a sale. :) To contact them, you'll find their email via the .com WHOIS.

No worries, I wouldnt be interested in making an offer at any price for those domains. If you where to make a car related site on the autotrade domain im sure autotrader would have something to say about it.

Edited to add :

Thanks everyone for sending me all your domain names. Im not looking to buy any more domains for now so please dont send me any. One thing I will say, if you mention you have £xx,xxx amount to spend, its amazing that most people value their own domains in this range, even if they are extremely poor names. I particulary liked the hybridcars(eu extension) domain at over xx,xxxx , it made me laugh. Thanks

There's a live site related to the "auto trade" already at it. Given that the term "auto trade" is an entirely descriptive way of referencing the auto trade industry there's not much anyone could say about the domain name other than it's generic and descriptive. That's why you'll find no trade marks on the term and plenty of registered companies with the term in their title.

It doesnt look like a proper site, the only people visiting will be people who have typed in autotrader incorrectly and it looks like the site is setup to capitilise from this. Its not something I would be willing to pay for. thanks anyway

Thanks for your explainations. I did think that in the UK the industry was called the "Motor Trade" not "Auto Trade", I thought 'Autos' was more of an American saying, but Im no expert so Im probably wrong.

Good luck with your domain anyway. All I was trying to say is that if you tried to create a car classified or similar site on the domain, you may run in to trouble with the name sounding so similar.
