Nominet testbed malfunctioning

If your working on this, theres an error with the timed dropping domains as below. Weve been onto them all day but they wont even admit theres an error, but a lady did say they have already fixed it once this morning !

As here :

Why dont you post it on Nominet site here https://community.nominet.uk/t/new-domain-expiry-process-and-droplists-for-uk/673 that way Nominet can address it and others might be able to help on there also.

It looks like the domain is available. What reason were you expecting?

That domain isn't supposed to become available until 7pm BST (6pm UTC), it looks like there was no dropping domains for today!

ok, what is supposed to happen is that on the testbed domain check , there are a list of domains with prescribed drop times, so the xml response should be <domin:reason> then drop then the date and time is shown, this is how its been since the 14th June when they were put up.

But at the moment, all the domains for the day have no reason and no date/time, which is incorrect, you can check now with hamlet-TAG.co.uk which should show drop at 8pm UTC, the last one of the day., then its reset for tomorrow.

But, I have heard from Nominet, yep, they have an issue, which isnt yet resolved, there were NO dropping domains on the testbed today... so, off to the pub !

That's because the domains don't exist on the testbed, and they all say avail="1" (so no need for a reason).

The example response you included showed <domain:name avail="1"> which means the domain is not registered and therefore I wouldn't expect any <domain:reason>
But I haven't familiarised myself yet with the testbed and the new system so I might be wrong

yep, thats how it used to be, but with the new system, the reason will say may drop, or drop, followed by the date and time precisely,.

Below is a good response, lavinia is a testbed domain within the final grace period, this works, the actual drops dont, and have been confirmed by Nominet as a current issue, whoch isnt resolved yet !

Which means if you send a create request right now, it will register the name.

confirmed by Nominet as a current issue, whoch isnt resolved yet !

That's because the domains don't exist on the testbed (the data is missing). Nominet have said that the data is reloaded every night, looks like that process has failed, and there were no domains to drop today. Hopefully they'll be reloaded in time for tomorrow.
