Grrr. They forced us a while back to use 2fa no matter what. I've been using a browser extension which is now not supported so I am faced with this stupid screen which gives no option to add Nominet to my Google Authenticator app...? Help please!
Done that, it doesn't help or offer a way to establish 2fa. It's totally bonkers, I remember this being the case 3 years ago when they set this carp up.

I had this issue and had to go via the general support link. The response was fairly quick but in my case I had to reset every domain with a new email address and start again. Can't remember exactly why but it was a real pain.
Here you go:
If necessary we are able to remove the 2 factor authentication login details attached to your email address/login, but we do need the request in writing, on the appropriate letterhead relating to the email address. The request should state the email address and explicitly ask for the 2 factor authentication to be removed.
If your domain names are registered to a company name, then the request will need to be on the full limited company letterhead of the limited company and be signed by a director.
Alternatively, we will need the written request to be submitted as a personal signed letter, with the inclusion of some ID, such as a utility bill or driving license that has both the registrant name address listed against the domain name.
You can either email over a scanned copy or alternatively fax it to 01865 332288.
On receipt we can remove the 2FA, for you to reset should you wish upon your next log in.
I think my issue was all domains were registered to a virtual address that wouldn't be on any ID document.
For future reference, I'd recommend Authy since you can have on multiple devices and back up to your phone number.

I've found a way around this but its pretty dire on Nominets part. (Used authy app that had required details). As far as I know there is no way to setup 2fa without manual Nominet involvement
