Established insurance site. YouTube and Twitter channels. 500+ news articles. Also includes 15 domain variants (e.g. noclaimsdiscount.com, noclaimdiscount.co.uk etc.)

Month Landings Uniques Pageviews Ad Revenue

Sep-09 16820 22715 28711 £5,795.00
Oct-09 15768 20621 25113 £4,832.00
Nov-09 14497 19317 23780 £4,128.00
Dec-09 11496 15232 18802 £2,551.14
Jan-10 16254 21888 27266 £4,453.08
Feb-10 15415 21947 26626 £5,055.02

All traffic is organic. We do not have a PPC program for this site set up.

Obviously you'll need to sign up with the advertisers yourself on the various networks but there shouldn't be any problems. I can contact each and say the site is being transferred.

Insurance is a tough industry and it's been a long climb but we're finally in to the top 50 for "car insurance" on Google beating companies like the RAC, eCarInsurance, Nationwide Bank, Sainsburys Insurance, Yes Insurance, Prudential, Quinn ... a lot of big names basically - most of whom are advertisers on the site!

There are no guarantees though. This is a sale of domain names and associated content. Revenue and traffic stats provided because you'll all want to know.

ADDED: apparently some of you are not seeing us in the top 50 due to the current Google Caffeine rollout. I'm not crazy, it's definitely there when I search! I see #48 for "car insurance", #29 for "pet insurance", #47 for "home insurance" etc. Hope you all see it soon too. Whilst these rankings don't sound amazing, in this industry it's a great head start. If we were in the top 10 for these terms I'd expect a million pound buy-out from a competitor. ;)

ADDED 2: thanks for all the PMs. To pre-empt others asking the same question: yes, we are willing to sell the domain on it's own without content for a much lower price. All inner pages have standard URls (e.g. /car/, /home/, /pet/ etc.) so you don't have to 301 backlinks to a new URls should you wish to put your own site up.

I'm not seeing the site anywhere in the first 100 results for [car insurance] on Google.

Could you provide a link to where you see the listing?

Also, how much of this traffic is organic versus PPC?

Thanks

Even at 76 it's not enough but the site has some fairly decent rankings for other terms ;)

Here's what I see when I type in car insurance, showing us at #48:

Could I have an indication of the asking price please?

Also has this domian ever been referred to the FSA to your knowledge?

Best regards,

George

So far highest offer has been £50,000. I won't be posting each new offer as it grows. Just know that I'd sell now for £100,000 - but if no-one gets there within a couple of weeks, at some point I'll just take the last highest bid.

As for the FSA, I phoned them 2 years ago asking whether I needed to be regulated. They said yes, so I filled in the forms, paid them their money and bought the required insurance.

Then, turns out I was wrongly advised and the £3000 insurance policy I bought was pointless. Out of pocket £5000 in the end but six months after telling the FSA where to go with their stupidity I haven't heard a peep.

If the Conservatives get in they are apparently going to disband the FSA anyway. Seriously, they are the epitomy of the civil service! Only existing to generate fees to keep themselves in work. No wonder we're in the state we're in! I could be ripping people off, selling fake policies from this website and all the FSA would do is check that I'd filled in their reports. Pointless.

If this website is going to be your only source of revenue and you change the language to promote insurers or get direct contracts with them (I'm an agent of Tradedoubler/Affiliate Window etc.) then you'll have to check with an actual compliance officer (an independent one, not one of theirs!) as to where you stand.
