Hi

Not sure about this new transfer system for .com transfers (.co.uk transfers seem OK). We're asked not to email any longer, but you can never tell if a message posted in the transfer centre is being read as you don't receive any acknowledgement. Just received this message on a dot com transfer

"We have asked the buyer to start the transfer of the domain at his provider GoDaddy.
You will shortly receive an e-mail from GoDaddy at your admin-c address. This will contain the transaction ID and the security code. Please write down these data at “Transfer Details”."

Yet when I'd received the GoDaddy email yesterday I posted a copy of it into the the transfer centre comments section and this included the transaction ID and security code. Even so I went to the "Transfer Details" page as suggested but there is no box or area to even record the transaction ID and security code. I think the old email method was far simpler and quicker. It would help if you provided the email address of the buyer so that we could at least send the details direct thus speeding up the process.

Thanks

Nigel

Hi Nigel

Thank you for your feedback regarding the new transfer system.

I have forwarded this onto the transfer team to look into this for you.

Panicked just then but doesn't matter, just realised this something to do with Sedo, thought you meant .com transfers in general

Hi Joanna

Thanks for the reply. Nothing has happened on this .com transfer. I get the feeling that our posts in the transfer centre are not being read regularly (as no acknowledgements are received). I happened to know who the buyer of this .com is and have been able to make email contact. He had not received the Godaddy information from you, despite it being posted in the transfer section, and despite me posting a chaser, so I have now emailed it to him direct. I think your transfer team ought to revert to the old email system until you get this new system running smoothly as you will undoubtedly be getting some very unhappy clients.

Kind regards,

Nigel

Hi Nigel

Thank you again for your feedback.

Would you mind telling me what the domain is in order for me to investigate what has happened properly.

I have contacted the Sedo staff in charge of the new transfer center project and let you know he outcome as soon as I have it.

regards

Joanna

Hi Nigel

I have received a reply on this.

The new transfer center is an important change for increasing the security of our transfers. While we can’t always reply personally to all messages, they are all read by the transfer specialist. Once we received your message the domain was unlocked and the transfer specialist instructed the buyer to start the transfer. Thank you for pointing out the text error asking you to post the information in the “Transfer Details” section. This is an error that we will resolve. As you did, the information should be posted on your message board.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

kind regards

Joanna
