Hi guys,

I have a client who is new to domains. She approached me and inquired about a domain which is registered to us.

After negotiations, when asked if the client has a nominet account the response was no.

Is there anyway she can create an account so I can transfer the domain to her?

Thanks,

dot

She will be able to create an account when she receives the transfer request. Nominet will explain it in the transfer email to her.

Nominet create a new account automatically where the registrant field and the TAG are not exactly the same as in an existing, previous registration in any case - and in cases where the the details are identical on two different accounts those accounts can be merged into one via the Nominet control panel. Registrars such as Fasthosts, Daily and DomainMonster create a new Nominet account for every registration, regardless of which details the customer uses, so it's fairly standard practice.

Thanks, TY.

So if I understand correctly she will have to option to create a new account and the process is as followed.

I have the domain on our easily account
She creates a new easily account
I process the transfer as normal (nom fee's are included and paid by me)
She gets an email saying does she wish to create a new nominet account
Transfer goes through
Domain pops in her easily account

Thanks,

You just type her email in the transfer request at nominet.

She receives email.

She creates new account.

She starts a transfer request at whatever domain company she wishes.

And then it's in her account.

I'm only saying this as I hope she uses somewhere other than easily. Contradiction them being called easily.

Thanks, Caz.

It's a simple process, which confused me a bit.

Easily have been great to us, I've never had a bad word to say about them!
