Advertisers harvesting your email directly via their ad (see top listing), I guess Google 'kindly' supplied it them via gmail account (I was logged in).

BTW I Was seeing what to do with my Jam maker domain

Ha. And they go on about how important it is to give the user what they're looking for on your website and so on.

I'm sorry, but how many people would want to give away their email address if they searched for a jam maker?

If you searched for "daily offers" or something then I could understand ads that let you subscribe to something like this though.

At long last, an instant way for me to subscribe to daily jam maker updates!

No need to panic! you can get the ideal domain here and then post the updates to your site

as well as all listing yours (& contributors) delicious jam recipes

whilst selling jam makers at the same time :p

I've seen these subscribe G ads popping up now and then... But never prefilled with my email?!

& what will the cost be (to google) for the advertiser to use that feature ?

I don't see the problem, I don't think the merchant would know your e-mail address unless you subscribed, it just makes it easier if you would like to get e-mail updates from a particular merchant, I would say the subscription is for the merchant in general and not just for jam makers.

we do this

It is simply an option under adwords...once you get approval from Google.

They randomly show your ads like this this

Doug

On a side note, don't you think Google is getting more and more spammy with ads? You've got ads at the top, down the right and some in the middle. Pretty soon they might as well do away with the list of non ad websites or put them on page 2.
