I have been negotiating for the sale of a domain on SEDO and have just sent a counter offer.

I have just received an offer from a new bidder (less than the original offer I have recieved form the 1st bidder).

Can I now make a counter offer to this 2nd bidder ?

What then happens if the 1st bidder and the 2nd bidder both accept my counter offer, who am I obliged to sell the domain to ?

Hi Slater,
If you make an offer or counter-offer, it is binding for seven days from the time you make the offer. During this time, you cannot cancel the negotiations or change your offering price.
The first person to accept the offer would then have his acceptance of your your counter offer lead to a sale.
If you need any help with it, send me a PM or email at [email protected].
Greetings,
Your Sedo Team

I emailed Sedo for help but haven't had a reply yet.

I've had an offer for a name on Sedo that I am currently negotiating with away from Sedo. If I put in a counter offer (the original offer is far too low), can I continue to negotiate and possibly sell it to someone outside Sedo during the 7 days?

If so, what happens if the Sedo person comes back in a few days and agrees to buy it, but I've already sold it?

Thanks
John

Hello John,

If you put up a domain for auction, according to our terms and conditions you have entered into a binding agreement to sell the domain to the auction winner. Therefore, it is not permitted to find an outside buyer while the auction is running.

Let us know if you have any questions about this.

Thanks Shaun, guess I'll have to ignore the offer (50 quid!) that has been made then. If I could cancel without making a counter-offer it would make life easier.
