Hi all,

Just wondering what you think about the value of this domain. I though it was a decent domain so I just reg'd it.

Not sure where I can find 'cheese' affiliates though.

Regards,

Nick.

I've not checked search stats so don't know what the volume interest is however I like this as a ftr domain. There are affiliate schemes for foodies where I'm sure cheese will feature in their inventory.

subject matter allows plenty of scope for some nice content (ooh arr, don't miss out Cheddar) so for long tail I'd say it's a nice little project.

with regards value I'm sure if you did some leg work you could find a buyer, so as it stands without content or history low to mid £xxx

Thank you for your opinion Fish.

I am seriously considering developing this one as it is totally different to anything i've done before so should be interesting. However I may open it up to offers for the mean time to see if anyone bites...

Any more opinions are welcome!

I feel there are much better product related domain names that you could be registering, that have much higher income potential. When I Google "mature cheese" only two PPC ads come up, and that to me suggests low potential for affiliates. Sorry I couldn't say something better.

No problem I understand where you are coming from. But for reg fee it isnt bad in my opinion.

My prior assessment was based mainly on development potential, I think there is probably more potential for this one from a sale. If you weren't over ambitious in your offer price I could see a company such as Yeo Valley Organic (in the SERPs for mature cheese) going for it. Probably the best thing to do would be to build a mini site and then attempt the sale. The name is quite good from a marketing point of view. There was a big Nominet case over finecheese .co.uk in the past.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for everyones responses.

I have now decided to put it in the 'for sale' section for the next two weeks. If I don't get any reasonable offers this will be developed then marketed elsewhere :)
