This is the daftest idea I've ever heard of, I really do think that Sedo are losing the plot.

Eg: One of the names in this "premium auction" is Germany.tv. This name is actually currently free to reg, so what's the catch?

Well the registration / renewal fee on the name is a mere $25,000 per year.

So, what sort of "warning" does Sedo give us of this fact?

(ie that the name is currently free to reg so this isn't really an auction and no-one wanted it enough to just pay the basic $25,000 reg fee in the first place, etc etc)?

This is what the "auction" listing says:

germany.tv is scheduled for auction!
Details:

GERMANY.TV

Domain Name without content.

Certain .tv domains considered premium by the registry are subject to registry renewal fees that can be higher than the typical fee. Registry regulations require premium .tv domains to remain only at Enom.
