I have a domain in the finall stages of being purchased that relates very closly to the online business I run, should I register this domain in the LTD company name or in my personal name?

If Ltd this would then become an asset of the company but how does this come off when I monitize the site? adwords revenue etc?

Is registering it to the business the best option?

Are you the sole director of the company?

I think it comes down to which legal entity you would rather owned the domain name. Issues that come into play here would be inheritance issues and ease of transfer of assets. Also, if you ever wanted to sell the name tax treatment may be different depending how you hold the name.

Rgds

Joint directors in my company, the reason i ask is that i've several domains which are going to provide some link juice to the ecommerce sites along with adwords on them

thinking about it prob best to own it personally
