And in case anyone is warming up for a sprint to do anything other than buy tickets, it would probably be a good idea to have a glance at these documents first to avoid being for the high jump :

Good post, David. Use the Olympic trademark/terms at your peril!

Well thats charlie sheen screwed :p

Watch the price rack up too!! Just 'booked' c.£3000 for 60 tickets..... which only covers 3 days for 4 of us...

As travelling down from Scotland... can't just dip in and out of the cheap ones and in order to make sure we get something each day for the children to enjoy, have had to put a 1st /2nd and 3rd choice to try and get some tickets as medal ceremonies and athletics or equestrian have been really popluar... bloody barmy.

BUT let's be cynical here - VISA will take payment and then you can refuse any ticket doubled up.... so if you return some for the full amount you either have a credit in your VISA account or you pay one months interest on a large proportion of the spend until you can return tickets for a full refund.

Nice to see Coe got shafted by VISA then!!!

Ticket prices certainly aren't cheap that's for sure. There should be more discounts for UK residents. :(

Ridiculously overpriced and will like mine, be way out of reach for a great many low earning families. It stinks since the tax payer has funded the show.

I may take advantage of it though and rent out my house (london) and enjoy a holiday away from it all ...

If you apply for 10 events and get accepted then do you have to pay for all 10 or can you just choose one ???

Thanks 8)

If you apply for 2 tickets to 10 events and are successful for all 10 events you will pay for all 20 tickets yes....

This is what sucks and puts tickets out of the reach of most.... as it's a lottery.

I think we are in for about 15 events across 3 days just to hedge our bets of having something to do each day.... so i potentially have to pay out £3000 and then give back the tickets I don't want/sessions that clash....

In the end when it all shakes out I will only pay about £750 in tickets to events for all 3 days I reckon.

I am lucky I have £2250 to loan VISA for a month or so

I wouldnt mid trying to get tickets for the 100 meters final day. And the final of the football I'm guessing cost of transport hotels and the like will all go through the roof during the games though

It depends what you apply for really. Lots of £20 tickets for several events.

I'm interested to know what everyone went form. I tried for tickets to two of the athletics days and for the football final. I think all of these will be pretty popular so I'm not holding out too much hope. Apparently some events are undersubscribed, so they there will be another chance to apply for tickets to less popular events in a couple of months.

Edit: Oops, didn't realise I hit submit earlier... replied again.

Went for the 100 meters and football finals in the bottom two price ranges dont expect to get them. More than happy to pay out if I do though

Similiar to my mindset. Worst case scenario, I'll just go to London and watch the olympic marathon :)

Meant to post cheers for the reminder!

None of the sporting events particularly stood out so ended up applying for the cheapest opening and closing ceremony tickets. :)

Trying for the Opening Ceremony, judo, tennis finals, swimming and a couple more. We'll see if anything comes of it soon, I guess!
