LinkedIn passwords are leaked

:S oh dear. I can see lots of client emails on their way to my inbox.

Linkedin yet to confirm any security breach has occurred. As such, if you change your password, plan to change it again. There's no proof that the passwords have been linked to email addresses though, so that's something. Still, best not to take chances.

Same. Set up a dummy account to access content and found it was useless, seems you had to pay for anything. Including having your account compromised I guess.

The groups are really good for pushing traffic because they're extremely targeted. And depending on your business, it's almost completely competitor-free if you're trying to drive customers. Easy to target individuals and small businesses.

I wouldn't pay for an account, you can still contact people and the upgraded stats are next to worthless when you still don't know the anonymous users looking at your profile.

OK, thanks for the info. I guess I started with a very negative impression of ClinkedIn because someone I barely knew signed up and obviously uploaded their address book, including an email address of mine. ClinkedIn sent me at least three emails saying X has signed up, don't you want to?

I finally emailed the person who had just signed up and asked them to ask ClinkedIn to stop it.

Probably like FB, and others, they have a massive DB of people's names, phone numbers and email addresses who have never even joined, just been uploaded by other people joining.
