Can anyone advise on where to submit your site to get decent inbound links?

It would be good to build a list of sites that people submit their sites too especially those with pr. Or would that be taboo?

See the sub forum offering paid links & swaps etc.
I recently paid $12 for 1000 directory subs - mostly low or 0 PR and not worth much - but for $12 one cant complain.
Its sometimes good to get a bunch of no-follow text links in the mix with high pr do-follow - they all count
For nice high pr do-follow links you may have to subscribe to a service

The info on my site is a bit old, but at a glance it's pretty much still valid (the advice I mean - the directory of link places is definitely getting long in the tooth)

you could do a search for paul and angelas packets - although they might have been rinsed now as a lot of people now about them so not sure how much weight they carry...

Have you considered writing articles and press releases? If you want really decent incoming links, writing a very good article / interesting press release and then submitting to the top article sites / PR submission sites, may yield good results. I should of course take my own advice but there are only so many hours in the day ... it's certainly something I've been meaning to do.
