All this started when major Chinese players came together and created a false demand for all sorts of random .com's; make some tidy margins on the way up (as others did), then sold out. Unfortunately some are still believing the hype, and sales like that of 2777.com just about sum it up; they've bought a very expensive ball!

The same thing that happened with the .mobi flop, the 4 letter bubble, the global extensions, uk rollout etc. Some people will be left broke but the people who created the hype will be rich.
