Sunglasses.co.uk for 5,000 quid via Sedo looks like a staggering bargain!

Agreed, what a name! Do we know if it was being used before the sale or just parked?

I also wonder if he/she was a domain name seller or just had this one name for sale?

I wonder if they have any more names like this for sale?

Was thinking the same... !

Every few weeks, a sale like that crops up (always seemingly via Sedo). I guess one way to flush the bargains out would be to meticulously go through their hundreds of thousands of .co.uk names, looking for goodies and then put in low bids on all of them - but it sounds like a heck of a lot of work. Mind you, the rewards look pretty nice too :)

Based on constant low offers on a few decent names I have a feeling that people are already doing this :)

You might as well, it doesn't cost nothing and the seller will be half pleased as it racks up the offers tally.

It wastes peoples time... ?

Not sure on others but i am not too fussed on offer tally (either on my names or ones im buying) as it counts for nowt.

Who's time are you wasting? if you're going in with stupid offers then yes but if they're only silly then you could be ok. What is silly to a proper domain buyer could be thought reasonable by a seller, stupid offers aren't needed by anybody, those waste time.

Had an offer on a domain on SEDO recently, bidding went as follows.

Buyer offers £80 (I make £10)
I counter offer £475
Buyers offers £85
I counter offer £450
Buyer offers £86
I counter offer £425
Buyer cancels.

I'm all for negotiation on a price and would have come down substantially on my original offer, bit hard to negotiate with someone who wants to make £1 increments.

Wish SEDO would scrap the ridiculous £70 minimum commision, there may be domain you would sell for £100 but not when you see 70% of that disappearing.

Pleasure.co.uk

Pleasure.co.uk sold a few weeks back on sedo for a grand. Now that was bargain of the decade. Proves he/she wasn't a reseller as should never have sold so low. Just shows, if you don't offer you never know! Plus like any investment, different people have things going on in their life & sometimes need cash. This particular sale was madness though. Predator

More sales:

YourCall.co.uk $12,144 NameDrive
Guess.co.uk $9,200 NameDrive
Confusion.co.uk $9,000 NameDrive
InvestmentCompanies.co.uk £2,250 = $4,220 Sedo
PropertyFinance £1500 Sedo

Could you delete my 'www's' sale threads... Thanks.
