Looking to Sell another one of my larger forums, this one means alot to me and to be honest i really dont want to sell it but im going to become a dad for the first time in a couple of months, im moving house next year and the fact ive not really had time for the site for the past 3 years has kind of put the wheels in motion to down size and focus on a couple of businesses.

The site in question gets between 60k - 150k unqiues a month depending on the time of year ( currently in the slow period ) , Page views between 200k and 1.5 million again depending on the time of year, current news etc.

Its been an authority in its niche since 2006 and has been grown with the more intelligent debate over hundreds of thousands of short one liners,

Traffic is organic with the site ranking 1st and 2nd for its respected main keywords although there is huge room for improvement to target different areas

Now coming up to a million posts with between 300 - 800 members online every day, You would need a server which can cope with traffic spikes and random increases of activity.

It has an active team of moderators whom are aware that i "might" sell in the future if the opportunity is right, I wouldnt mind however striking a deal with the new owner if required to be remained as admin and maintain the site if the deal was right, if the new owner just wanted to go it alone obviously id be ok with that too.

The members list has been pruned a number of times every year and failed/bounced member emails moved into a separate group, this site has NEVER been marketed to, mailing list never been used for anything other than major site update notifications.

Couple of hundred a month, nothing significant...its under monetised and Google Adsense really isnt the way to go, id recommend the new owner to make time to do a bit of outreach for direct ad sales. Occasionally someone contacts the site for direct ads which normally sell at £150 - £300 a month.

The site gets regular requests to have promotional posts on the homepage, i occasionally accepted them in the past at £150 a pop, the only reason i only accepted a handful is because the homepage is not used so i didnt want just promo posts all over it.

The homepage is the perfect way for growth for the new owner as its totally nu-utilised to what it could be.

Last year there was an offer of $20k USD at which time i wasnt looking to sell (the person making the offer previously has been made aware the site is available ), understandably this is a site which needs to go to someone that has a plan for it and will care for it rather than someone looking at a quick flip based on revenue multiples.
