With nom's proposal, what effect do you think this has on a domain like iu.co.uk ?

Is there anything in the docs that state the rights to the .UK are in jeopardy, if transferred?

Yep, I know a buyer, in fact a few... lol, I'm trying to gauge if this puts the LLs back to a price around the auctions, or a % greater.

The uncertainty and initial introduction of the idea of .UK definitely had some effect on these names.

Two letter .co.uk domains were never really "short" domains in my view – the .uk version most definitely is - plus you get to keep the .co.uk!

Had these (twoletter.uk) been auctioned from the outset, prices would have been much higher imo.

From memory, I pulled out of the auction for fi.co.uk at about 5k. Had it been fi.uk, I might have gone to 10k, maybe even more.
