Anyone managed to buy USA stuff from the US iTunes store in the UK?

I have a UK account, but I think you need a US acc to buy (with US address?).

I'm after some series of Dexter for Mrs Alien to download. :D NetFlix only has series 1/2 so far.

Cheers all!

As far as I know all you need is to enter a US address (by making a new account as you said).

Then just buy a $20 iTunes voucher or whatever, add it to your account and download whatever you want :)

Thanks Jamie. :)

Anyone know how I can obtain a legit. US address?

Buy another house over there? :p

Seriously though, if I were you I'd just use any US address - I done that a few years ago and it worked fine. I wouldn't be bothered spending money to get a US address or whatever.

I have just been reading about this and found the link below, using an American hotel postcode is an interesting idea :D.

Thanks Borris, that did the trick.

I live in a New York hotel, USA now. ;) Then purchased iTunes USA $$ pre-paid cards via E-Bay next and I'm in (you can't buy USA vouchers in the UK ).

I'm now downloading series 7 of The Office months before the UK gets it and will get series 8 next, luuuurvely!

Cool, I’m glad that worked. I planned to give it ago on the weekend, I fancy living in Miami :p. Can you PM the eBay seller you used.
Its surprising the difference in content that’s available in the UK compared to the US.

Hope you got on OK too!

I've PM'd you the E-Bay seller I've used twice now, no probs at all.

Slightly off topic, but it's still amazing how the Global economy is still very much a local one when it comes to pricing and access, - pisses me off when you look at some of the pricing - but download or purchase refused - when you try to buy American priced on-line software.

On a slightly lighter note - Even Godaddy has it's moments, You go to register a new domain (even on an existing account)and even when you pre-select "United Kingdom" as your location and address, it still insists on an American State Field being completed, trying to get it to accept anything else gets rejected, So I've lived in Rochford,In sunny CALIFORNIA, for years Now, Actually you can input it just as 'CA"' so it shouldn't throw the postman too much
