I don't know if anyone else has had this issue...

...but this has happened to me on a number of occasions...

I will try and backorder a suspended domain, but it says the domain isn't suspended and hence it cannot be backordered.

Chris... do you know why this does this? And can it be fixed?

Thanks :D

Hiya ive not come across this problem or atleast no one has mentioned it. Your welcome to send me the name in question and I will take alook.

Is the name def. Suspended and not just renewal required.

It could be related to this:

Whois lookup limit 1,000 requests per 24 hours per IP address

It uses whois2 to do the check, if you've blocked your IP from the whois before trying to backorder I think they show as unavailable to backorder.

I reakon what grant said is exactly whas happening.. just re-boot your router for a further 1000 look ups :)

I spend most days resetting my router every 5 mins :(

I had this happen to me for the first time the other day.

I don't think I'd got anywhere near the WHOIS limit. I realised it had happened when I used the WHOIS link in the caught results to see who had reg'd it and Nominet listed it as suspended.

Only problem is, I can't remember what the name was! ;)

It may just be timing out at Nominets end, or too many folks trying to backorder ;) try again a bit latter.

Whilst were on the subject Chris, and only a minor thing, I find the login completely ignores you if you omit the "www" from the caught URL.

Like i say minor and i havent tried to login in IE
