I have two domain host accounts, both with the same domain host company, one private, one company, different email addresses.

I have a few contact listings setup in the business account depending on the domain itself and I wanted to swap one to an existing contact within that same account which just so happens to be a 'private individual' contact with the email address of my private account.

It didn't let me, I assume because changing from a ltd company to a private individual would mean a Nominet transfer, but oddly, when I logged in to my Nominet private account, it was showing the business domain, plus a few others I didn't select to transfer, effectively handing over ownership!

I managed to switch them back, though still unsure how it happened.

Should that even be possible?

(sorry if it doesn't make much sense, kinda hard to explain!)

First port of call would be to raise a support ticket with your host. Only they know what their systems do and what effect it has at nominets end.

Are all your domains under your one email? then they all would show in your nominet account, even if they're registered to different names

Really difficult to explain, but let me try another way.

I have two accounts, lets call them "business" and "personal". Both accounts use a separate email name for their associated domains.

So I changed "business domain 1" from "business email" to "personal email" and whilst the data didn't change, when logging in to Nominet I found that it was displaying "business domain 1", "business domain 2" and "business domain 3" in my "personal" nominet account, not in the "business" one...very odd!
