Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, we experienced an external DDos attack in the night from 12.02.2007 to 13.02.2007 (CET). This also caused a 12 minute interruption in our service this morning. The parking pages were therefore not reachable for a total of one hour.

We reacted immediately and were therefore able to minimize the interruptions of our service. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding. We have already calculated lost revenues and compensated all accounts accordingly.

Kind regards,

Brad

Traffic has been very low although tested one of our domains and it is definitely serving up ads. Assume there have been some breaks in service tho'

I've had problems with Sedo pages for a few days now. It looks like the old "Blueyonder customer denial" issue has returned.

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/sedo/12159-sedo-down.html

All of you with Sedo need to be aware that you're probably not getting any traffic at all from Blueyonder's / Telewest's customer base.

Sedo - please explain why once again, I can't see parking pages on my Blueyonder connections.

Yes - traffic very poor yesterday and this morning - something definitely seems to be up. Tested our domains and seem ok on our connection so assume it's something like the old Telewest/blueyonder issue. If no traffic is coming from around 1m customers in the UK it will make a big difference. Perhaps traffic is being blocked from other internet providers as well:(

Have PM'd sedo asking for a statement on this - their customers are not earning the cash that they should be. Sedo have the clout and resources to sue Telewest's ass, on the grounds of "restriction of trade" or similar principle do they not?

Earnings pretty dire today

Not only is traffic down, Click thro' rate is down, and earnings per click at lowest level for a while - a tripple whammy :(

Same issue here. We are also a Blueyonder customer and none of our Sedo pages have been resolving here since Friday. And yet Sedo claim in an email to us that we are the only ones with the problem and that they were not aware of any issues. My biggest gripe with them is their lack of respect for their customers (us). If they were to be honest about the situation that would go a long way with me. Nothing changes I guess!

We need to complain to Blueyonder now too. There is reference to complaining to Blueyonder in this thread:

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/sedo/12159-sedo-down.html

QUOTE FROM THAT THREAD
"Blueyonder tech. support have just admitted that they too cannot see Sedo pages and so pinged [[[[AN AFFECTED DOMAIN'S URL]]] themselves. They at least agree that there is a serious problem -

"I've never seen anything like this before"

went the customer service bod's comment. Besides being currently mystified, Blueyonder 2nd line tech. support have promised to resolve this. They have created a job ticket, under the name "routing issue" and have given me a reference number, recommending that I call back in a couple of days to check progress.

I've suggested that they speak to Sedo too.

Reiterating yet again, I can only recommend that more of you [who are Blueyonder/Telewest customers] follow he same complaint process that I have done and try and force their hand, the more pressure the better [tel 0845 142 4422]."

I've just traced both sedo.co.uk and sedo.com and gone through Linx to Schlund.net network.

Would someone care to post a traceroute to sedo.co.uk as it may help to identify where the problem is.

If neither of those work try a trace to 212.227.36.1 and then http://212.227.36.1/ (looks like something hosted close to sedo within 1and1)
