Personal: Accessibility, Getting started online
New figures out today have suggested that older people in the UK are among some of the most confident internet users. The statistics show that 43% of people in the UK aged 55 to 74 now frequently use the internet, placing us 7th in the Eurostat list, and well above the EU average of 28%.
Although these numbers are encouraging, some have raised concerns that there is still not enough being done to encourage greater numbers of older people to get online and make the most out of the internet.
