Hi,

I've just picked up some .infos - yes, I know, .info isn't really rated, but please look at these domains.

The domains are exact match domains, and all achieve 10k+, some 60k+ and one gets over 130k exacts. They're also profitable areas too, with all other TLDs taken.

Would love some thoughts:

BestWebsiteDesign /info - 12,100
Stumps /info - cricket stumps? tree surgeons? - 14,800
RetroGamer /info - 9,900
RubberDuck /info- 22,200
TrainFares /info 60,500
Yatch /info 18,100 - this is a typo, but still has a considerable amount of hits; and for such a high profit industry too
MotionSensor /info 12,100
LoanPaymentCalculator /info 22,200
LadiesNight /info 60,500
PHPScript /info 12,100
JustinBieberTickets /info 22,200
HouseDoctor /info 33,100
FashionJob /info 135,000
Gold-Value /info 12,100
Best-Car /info 14,800
Hire-Car /info 18,100
Budget-Travel /info 60,500
CheapestAirTickets /info 27,100

.info getting a business to buy .info nearly impossible...? Getting domainers to buy (more chance with the lottery) they stink pretty much SEO wise try and avoid them...

If you can get some ppc income all well and good. But, as mentioned almost impossible to sell to developers or end-user sale.

That said I do own a couple of Holiday/Property Rental .info domains myself but only ever pictured them being used by an individual using an advertising-board outside his/her property.

Shame but.info suffered from the same over-hype promotion as say .biz and never was going to live up to expectation

Hmm, thanks for the replies.

Well aint that a kick in the nads! lol.

I would've thought TrainFares.info, and maybe PHPScripts.info would be worth at least £30+ to someone...?

They're exact match, non hypenated, and have good numbers of exacts whilst being commercially viable...

But maybe I'm wrong...

I would've thought "Hire-car" was your most versatile (to sell/use) and user friendly -Just an opinion

Don't be fickle.
You've done your research and acted on what you feel.
If these were sought after info terms for traders today, then you wouldn't have got them. People are envious of the owners of valuable domains but when they registered them in the early days they were not valuable, it was a calculated punt. And if I was you I wouldn't sell trainfares info for £30, that's a real hold.

A caveat, don't register any domain you are not prepared to develop or hold for 5 to 10 years. That will deter impulsive decisions.

I think these names are only good if developed.
PHPScripts.info is nice.

Even today I believe that still holds (As a directive) and my justification goes back 10+ years for domains i'm confident of being worthwhile (not forgetting the many that weren't)

Thank you for all the replies.

I've gotten rid of some of the ones that really were impulse, stupid buys just based on the exacts: for example, I do not have any sort of fever involving any biebers... but I've kept some from that list; ones either short enough, searched enough, or commercially quality enough.

Any ideas on what sort of valuation figures I could expect? I'll be developing all of these, so most will come with developed sites of sorts.

I'd actually really like to set up a dropship site selling bathing/kids bathing products on rubberduck info; none of the other tld's sell bath/bathing products. Would .info cause much of a trust issue with purchasers or would a professional enough development make up for that?

Sorry for my long posts; I type the way I think!
Thanks again.

Probably better off sticking to generics and looking for co.uk's

Don't fall into the trap of only developing a name because you haven't been able to sell it ( time is money, as Edwin is always pointing out ). Ask yourself when your selling a name for £30 could you add value to it by developing it or holding on to it. When you sell a name think, would I be buying that name at that price, it really is a fine balancing act but you have to get a handle on it otherwise you'll behave like a drunken monkey ( no offence to monkeys ) and look back with regret. And it's better to buy a quality domain ( if you've got the resources ) and put time and effort into that rather than put the same time and effort into a inferior name. So to me it makes sense that if info's are cheap on the secondary market buy a quality info, don't develop an inferior info, this of course will cause quality info's to increase in value. And I think short biz domain values will increase as businesses see what kind of visually attractive and memorable logo's they make. But I don't think there is any value in buying jumbled up letters and numbers in info biz and tv just to create something that makes sense.

BTW

Just added:

Organising/info 8,100
FootballManager/info 301,000
Do-It-Yourself/info 60,500
Brainiac/info 27,100
BusinessJournal/info 6,600
Omnipotent/info 40,500

Particularly pleased about FootballManager/info :D
