How successful is cold calling companies to sell a DN?

Anyone had any success with cold calling companies they thought might be interested in order to sell a DN?

I have reg'd socialaccountability.co.uk and am considering trying to sell it to one of the 3rd party auditing companies like DNV, BSI, TUV, LRQA, etc... Social Accountability is a management standard for corporate social responsibility and these companies offer services related to it and as a relatively new standard the market must be competitive.

I'm just wondering whether it is an achievable aim :confused:

Yes, cold calling can be a good way to dispose of domain names, (in fact I sold 2 just last week to a Car repair center, having only owned them for 23 minutes!) but with a domain such as yours I feel you will struggle.

what were these domain names you sold?
 
okay I see why they were easy to shift

I think my DN has value to these people. This is the standard the term SA8000 is TM. All of these companies will be selling exactly the same service which is Social Accountability audits so surely they want to be top of the list?
 
Would personally send out emails to prospects before cold calling..
