Great domain name, great tourist spot, lots of search activity.
"hotels in torquay" gets 33,100 broad & 5400 exact local searches PM with an ave CPC of £1.05

The site is built using Wordpress, nothing arcane or custom, just a nice simple mash-up of some great plugins worked into a flexible theme so its great for SEO tweaking and all the other benefits of WP, plugins etc.. This is my custom theme adapted for laterooms CSV feed,
I finished this up a few months ago and have since made some minor tweaks ready to let it go out. I had a bit of interest about the theme back then from a few members..

Some stuff about the theme..
It uses a Laterooms CSV, perfect for anyone getting into Laterooms, (you dont have to apply for XML feed) - just change your partner ID in the CSV file + upload it..
It has modified version's of various plugins, coded into the functions file - in order to display & link hotels on a google map, homepage and hotel page.
It has a custom admin panel with various bits like analytics code, adsense code, CSV upload, 1,2,3 column layout switcher
The original theme was built to deploy affiliate sites fast, It can parse large CSV files and populate a WP blog in a few minutes with 1000's of products. in this case hotels are "posts" and accommodation types are "categories"
Perfect and ready to go to a good home

This site does look great and I would imagine it converts pretty well. The only issue for me is that SEO would be tough given that there is zero room for unique content unless stuffed down in the footer.

The homepage would be my main concern. I don't want to put a downer on the site but the affiliate link to unique content ratio would make it a serious struggle to rank as is. Google hates affiliates - but I suppose you could cloak the links.
