Hey Guys,

I have a domain which is a typo of a travel company (not a well known one) but is getting alot of type in traffic. Its averaging £283.81 in a month in comms over the last 3 months as detailed below. Whats it worth to sell it?

March - £304.62
April - £263.66
May - £283.15

Regards

Dean

Hi Dean,

In some respects if your making that much money then its not worth selling being honest.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride with it, if your doing on average say £250 a month thats £3,000 a year.

Depending upon which month it is when you get to Jan then your sales might treble that £250.

Personally I would sit on it

Thanks Mark, if i wanted to raise some cash though, how many month revenue would it be worth?

Cheers

Really that would be down to if you can prove the sales figures really.

If you can then obviously this would be a good buy for someone.

In some respects you cant really put a price on something like this a typo as its not really anything apart from a typo.

It would depend on how much money you wish to raise really by the sounds of it if you want to sell when your taking home £250 plus a month from it then reasonably a lot.

You might have someone offer you between £250 - £1,000 for it if they like it.

If its a blatant TM typo then you may get 6-12 months revenue from someone willing to risk it. In my experience Americans seem to be more up for risk taking with this type of domain, if you post it on dnforum you may well get more than that, trouble with that though is that you have to post the actual domain name on the forum.

Yeah thats the problem i face :)

I wouldn't consider anything less than 12 months rev but just wondered if there was a standard amount of months rev that people bought for.

Cheers

If you are making that sort of money on a typo, think what the company involved is losing.
Keep your head down and take the money. If they spot the sale it would suddenly be worth nothing.
