I've had some interest in one of my domains

landscapeservices .co.uk

I would be grateful if someone could give me their opinion on it regarding value.

Thanks

paul

With somebody showing interest I'd try for £325. There are probably similar names that are free to reg and emember that if you have to go looking for a buyer, I'd say that £100 would be good.

Thanks Colin,

I was hoping it might be worth about £1-1.5K :)

Anyone think it could be worth more than £325 ??

I would assume interest is end user, and it is a ronseal domain... so would expect a few quid more than £325 .

Ask £1.5 , worst they can do is say no :)

The worst they can say is "forget it, it's not even worth talking".

I would take that as a 'no'.

Either way I would say the name is worth about a grand, and if it does not sell this time the amount of landscaping companies would make a future sale likely.

Thanks Rob, that confirms what I think. Got to be worth £1000

Any experienced sellers (i.e 50+ names sold) offer a domain evaluation service. ??

I've got 600+ names I would like to put into price categories :)

I could see the domain selling for £800, but don't think £1,500 is an unreasonable asking price.

The domain is hurt by the .com being owned by BuyDomains and is also for sale. "Landscaping services" seems to be the more popular term and the two could be easily confused if the domain were advertised. I can only see the domain being used by a landscaping company for it's traffic, which looks to rather low, though it may also be desirable to a landscaping company simply for the luxury of it.

If I owned it, I'd develop it with a database of landscaping services, like this: http://www.thelocalweb.net/index/LSE/index_LSE.htm only better, grouping areas serviced and maybe build a map. Make it search engine friendly to get traffic and get some revenue by either putting adsense on it or, if it's done well enough, sell the top spots on the homepage and different areas.
