Hello everyone.

I am in the domain industry for quite a while...

I just found acorndomains by chance, and I decided to join.

My first domain was 21stcenturyfashion( dot )com, registered back in 2007, soon after I did buy over 300 names, 263 left to expire in the following year...

Aprox 1 year later, I sold my first name with $65.00...

Since 2009, I did buy and sell names but nothing big...the biggest deal high $xxx.xx for one of my yogurt names...that's my fast-forward story.

I got some .co.uk's too

CopperPipeAndFittings
CopperCouplings
StratfordRental
TouchMp4Players
TouchMp4Player
Stratfordroom

but, I am not a big fan of them though

Agree, but to get a name like any of those with a good price so then you can make a profit is almost impossible. Pure luck
So you're saying it's easier to buy and flip premium one word .com's?

I am sorry but that is really mean. I've seen people here talking about all sort of names, not only .co.uk...so by saying something like this in a public forum, is just inappropriate, or maybe you're the one which want the attention by jumping to such conclusions.

You're probably in the wrong place then, unless it's attention you want ;)

if Blossom had intended to be mean I doubt she would have put a wink at the end of her statement!!

Saying you don't see the potential of .co.uk in a (predominately) .uk forum is a pretty odd thing to say though considering the activity of this whole forum suggests otherwise.

Anyway, hello and welcome!

.com will always have more attention and I only have bothered with co uk over the past few years when everyone is online now. The biggest money is in .com domains but doesn't mean that there isn't a market for co uk it's just a different market. You can have a use for a .com anywhere but co uk are going to be specific but there's definately a market in the uk for domain names hence this forum
