I know its rather long tail but it does get traffic and pays out. Im wondering what people think of the name? Is it worth anything to a cereal manufacturer looking to capture people typing these keywords?

Thanks

John

I dont think any cereal company would want this domain if its making you money then keep it and get the reg fee back.

How much has it made in 4 months ?

I don't like it personally.

A big brand could make a page on their site and title it "Healthy Breakfast For Kids" and it would rank, they don't need keyword domains.

Its covering its cost at the moment. I just thought with 1600 exact matches it may have some value.

I think maybe Im being naive but Ill never learn if I dont stick myself out there. Does the 1600 exact matches not mean that 1600 times this exact term has been searched for indicating people are looking for a product, some advice or some information?

What is the difference between direct navigation, type in traffic and exact match? Is there a way to distinguish whether a name has direct navigational traffic?

These may well be simple, laughable questions but it can't help to ask!

If there are 1600 exact searches for a keyword and IF you are no1 for that term, expect to receive 4/5 visits to your site each day... in my experience. This was a lot higher years ago before Google Ads and even before they started mixing them into the serps so subtly.

So say you've got 5 people a day coming to your site looking for "healthy breakfast for kids", what are you going to do with that traffic? How are you going to make money from it?

Niche is everything. 5 visits a day if you are getting £200 for a conversion can make decent money but in that niche you are unlikely to make any cash unless you get ranking for a load of long tail searches and attract a shed load of traffic.... of course there are other ways to get traffic but we are just talking about natural search here.

I can't see the term getting much in the way of type in traffic, not enough for it to add any value anyway.

The only way you would make a return on this name is if a big brand bought it but I think the chances of this are very slim IMO.

I think Marcoose has summed it up - lower visits to a high value niche are essentially more valuable than lots of traffic to a site that is hard to monetise. Targeted traffic is king as it is all about conversions and how much money that can be made per conversion.

That is what I think but what I think from a digital marketing perspective and what goes on in terms of trading domains on this forum are often poles apart, so I guess part of the learning process is just getting out there and seeing what happens with domains you have purchased.

However I do again agree with Marcoose that this one is probably only any good as a brand and I think the chances of finding a buyer are probably pretty slim.
