VW are in the firing line, but there are other cases

groupaction - is the correct term in English law I am reliably informed
classaction - is the US term also in more common use here

any thoughts on value of the latter co.uk + .uk rights?

Thanks

Rather than sell it, now would be the time to monetise it. It is the common language name for sure, though wrong for the UK as you say.

It's difficult to see classaction as that valuable. The obvious use case would be by a law firm specialising in class action law suits. However, the additional business benefit that this domain particular domain brings is limited when considered with all the other business factors, so I think a decent sale won't be easy.

Best profit for you would be developing a good resource site about class actions and then attempt to get advertising from law firms.

I think its one of those terms which the movies have ingrained into the British mindset.

There are numerous of these ER (Emergency Room), Speakeasy (there are many in manchester such as The Washroom (http://www.ilovemanchester.com/2015/06/18/the-washhouse-manchesters-secret-new-bar.aspx), Condo, Sidewalk, etc which we understand the meaning.

I think ClassAction could work the same, personally I wouldn't gamble on it as its not my niche, but I think it has some understanding thanks to the movies and tv shows like Suits.

Thanks for your thoughts fellow seniors - I tend to agree with you

The domain was gathering dust in corner somewhere until an offer came in. It is worth what the buyer will pay, not a precentage of the settlement. So a little more negotiation and we should have a deal
