Hi,

Trying to work out some form of "rule of thumb" when looking at the exact match google results V what type in traffic .co.uk/.com gets.

eg 2500 exact searches v 300 .co.uk type in's = 12% real visitors

Its one thing to value domains on exact searches but what about trying to evaluate their passing traffic value without any SEO or PPC promotion.

Can anyone share any data so we can try to see a theme/average??

People have suggested 20% to 60% is doable on exacts from google, I don't think anyone can suggest extension type in using google stats. Stats come and go, people just use what is available and then everyone else copies the method, it used to be overture, nothing really replaced that so now people go for google exacts mixed with a variety of other aspects to garner interest.

Thanks Lee...not sure you understood me. Trying to estimate how much type in traffic domains might get based off the exacts...

maybe I'm not understanding you :D

Trying to get a figure that was close enough % wise as to be worthwhile from just google results would not be worthwhile, (its to easy to manipulate) There are also other things e.g. design, market demand, location, price, language, distribution, manufacturing etc etc
If the source information is not accurate enough to start then it follows that none of the other will be…?

most people completely misinterpret the exact key match results as it can be based and sourced on other factors which make it highly inaccurate, so I would'nt get excited about it - I just treat it as an indication of a potential market.. as for typs-in probability i'd say about 5%
