I would suggest you also try other whois/rdap lookup tools. Personally i find nominet's lookup tool quite badly laid out and there are different options available with different pros and cons:
rdap.uk / rdap.dev / client.rdap.org
whois.uk / whois-search.com / who.is
lookup.icann.org
whois.domaintools.com
Obviously this is all subjective and depends on how you use them. I personally also rely heavily on the command line whois.
There's even browser plugins or you can make your own tool that runs locally and customise it to your needs (rdap uses xml over https so it is a lot easier to work with)
