Hi I'm Dan, I work for an ICT Management company and currently hold the post of technical team manager.

I enjoy trading domains and hope to increase my portfolio over the next few months.

Cheers

Welcome Dan !

So what are your best and worst Domains ?

Welcome Dan !

So what are your best and worst Domains ?

Good evening Wizard, are you well?

I currently don't hold too many domains, mostly .info, a few .com's and a few .us domains.

I did post a thread containing them in another forum here but a friendly Mod has since removed them due to it being seen as "Spam".

I don't really have a favourite domain per say, I do have what I call my catchiest domains, for example so-called.info, remaining.info, considerable.info and occasional.info.

I only bought these as I thought they read fairly well.

GoDaddy Appraise them at over $1200 each, although I am dubious of the accuracy of this appraisal.

Regards.

Sorry Dan, but I think you will struggle to sell any of those .info domains. Don't buy too many more before you've tried to sell some of them.

Try

welcome.

Why would the info extension to these single word domains have any trade value, how can you even begin to justify the reg fee for remaining.info ?

If a supermarket shelf is full it doesn't attract any more interest than to people who intend, out of need, buying the product. If a shelf is depleted and people think that there has been a run on the product they tend to take, without thought, what's left.
You are registering the dregs.

It might help you if you go to dnjournal ( these provide a great monthly service collating and publishing domain sales ) and search the archive to see what sells and how much for.
A good measure of whether you should register a name is, could I use it myself.

Welcome to Acorn and enjoy, don't listen to the go daddy appraisals, .info are not worth bothering with.

Hi Dan, have fun here...some good info....

As far as domaining, I'm just a novice myself, but 2/3 years has finally taught me to stick to .com or .co.uk.....and at the minute not even .co.uk.....I have a few .info's that I would see as premium, with decent auto appraisals, one word, seemingly fitting the extension perfectly and not had one offer....I have a few premium words in other extensions as well with little interest......

.com is still king!
