My ideas for it are:
Haunted houses, estates and other locations around the UK
Scary stories
Halloween stuff
Horror/scary movies
Theme parks - stretch but maybe roller coasters

My plan is to:
1. Make the site content rich, built with SEO in mind
2. Get reasonable traffic and PR
3. Turn traffic into revenue...

If anyone has ideas for content or about point 3. above, please let me know :D

bom bom, thx peter...

I like this domain because when I glance at it, I always hink that I own flights.co.uk - wouldn't that be great!

Moderator/Admin:
I think my message has been moved to this appraisal thread!
I was tired last night so maybe I put it here but I thought I put it in the general forum... Please can you move it to somewhere more appropriate. Thx

Ok thanks admin...

Things are progressing with the site.
I think I'm gonna keep Fritz as the site logo.

I've added to my list of site elements and am starting to throw content together tonight. Also wanted to let you know that Fritz has just released his the first song on his album, catch a sneak preview at Fritz (The UK's Scary-Wary Website Song)

This is what lack of sleep for several days will do to you

I would get more sleep that was terrible lol

You really need to look at who your targetting which market, fritz is ok for kids but for adults then it would be reasonably laughable.

The mp3 doesnt do it as your just trying to create a crazy frog character out of something that is supposed to give a fright.

If targetting the adult market then something dark and sinister is needed, if targetting a family audience then fritz would be okish but...

I get what you're saying, really I do... still have to think about what I want the site to be.

I think that's why I was originally posting to see what other people recommend I turn it into....

The idea that it being aimed only at adults, dark and sinister... is a little sad to me. I want there to be fun in there.

So far here are my ideas:
1. Haunted UK sites, houses, pubs, castles etc
2. List of phobias and definitions
3. Scary stories / legends
4. CafePress store for Fritz - for when he becomes famous
5. Amazon affiliate stuff for scary books and movies

Not really sure the best way to implement (5) but I really like the way that you got the magazine stuff working on magazinereader.co.uk - I just have no idea how to do it...

Most of my ideas aren't really for the money (though it would be nice).
I just want to learn about the SEO stuff and about creating traffic. If seems as though the list above could give the site a great deal of content that the SERPS would love (I just have to be careful about duplication) - just feels like a good project to get my teeth into... mwahahahaha!

All nice ideas but the more I look at fritz being honest the more ugly and less appleaing hes becoming.

On a proper website then he might be fine just hes losing his charm a little bit for me.

Not sure if you have him on a white background, but what you would have to do is use photoshop, take out the white background.

Cut fritz, then start a new picture, make sure the background is transparent, paste fritz into the new picture and then I think you need to save it as a gif file, so that you get the transparent background.
