hey all

I have few domain registered and i wanted to do a bit of housekeeping and get rid of the one i no longer want. It was no problem with the .co.uk's but i can figger out how to do the .com's, is it possible? or do i just have to wait for them to expire? they were registered with reg-123.

thanks

walsery

At least make sure you have switched off auto-renew for these particular domains.

Have you contacted customer support to ask if they can be cancelled? I expect the .com can be cancelled but it depends on whether their interface supports it.

Yeah auto renew is off, 123reg dose not seem to allow you to do it by there account, to do the .co.uk's i had to log into my Nominet account.

The 123 reg web site says "request the deletion of TLD by faxing a request to OpenSRS Compliance department" which seems a weird way to manage domains of all things and i dont have easy access to a fax machine, the reason i asked on the forum was incase i was missing something obvious as it seems silly that i cant do it online.

and thanks for the reply

Best way with .coms is to just take off the renew and leave it to drop.

If you don't want the domains any longer, then why not point them to parking service rather than cancel, you might make a few quid while they run the remainder of the registration.

You've paid for it, why not use it? Maybe you'll get an offer on the domain from someone who may want it.

OR even better post them on here and see who will have them i does not cost anything so give it a try and best of luck
