I have just started a few new sites which after a few weeks are starting to get crawled by google. Is there a way of finding where it is ranked straight away. All i know at the moment is just to go through google page by page and if my site is 500th then its going to take ages.

If you are using firefox then download rank checker over at seobook.com, you can set it up so it tells you were a domain ranks in google.co.uk/.com, yahoo.co.uk/.com and Bing for any given key word.

You can also query google to see how many pages of your site have been crawled and listed in the SERPS

there's two operators you can use:

allinurl:www.yoursitenamehere.com

site:www.yoursitenamehere.com

enter (all the term) into the google search field and hit return!
