Hi all,

I had finally got a offer with Sedo after 6 months of parking.
It's only £150 but it is a hyphen domain, so I will accept.
Anyway I want to know how to proceed with the process, and do I need to do anything during the deal or after the deal?
Like:
setting up a escrow a/c???
or send transfer papers???
It's a dot.com domain, I registered with Godaddy.

Hope someone can help. as I am a first timer

Very happy coz this is my first deal :)

Sedo take a slice of the sale for a reason, they will mediate and email you to let you know how to proceed and handle the payment after you have accepted the offer.

Maybe worth a little counter offer of £250 no?

Hi Takwa,

If you finalise a deal, our system will automatically set up the transfer for you. Feel free to send me the domain name and I would be happy to handle the transfer for you!

Regards,

Shaun

yeah, sedo will do it all if its brokered through them.. about £70 ? i think so bare this in mind to see if what you have left it is worth doing!? I think it is worth doing what sji mentioned, i have made counter offers and ended up with three times wat was first offered, the buyer wasn't offended, he just said he knew it was a bit low but had to start somewhere!
Best of luck with it
J

£250....is that a fair price? It has 5,000 visits in the last 30 days, but note it's a "hyphen" domain, If he does not accept my counter, would I lose the deal?

Thanks for all your help guys

Without knowing the domain, earnings or traffic source it's impossible to say whether it's a good deal or not, I'd counter offer on what you have said for sure but ultimately you should aim to sell for a price that you are happy with and a profit.

Thanks sji

I have noticed when I make a counter, the buyer has the right to accept the price, does that means if he accept, I will not be able to take it up for auction?

Correct, if you offer a price and he accepts its a done deal but if you counter at £250 and he counters at £200 you could put to auction knowing he has agreed to the £200 and maybe get more interested parties.

ok I will counter it, will keep you guys up to date.
And many thanks

help

Buyer counter with £175, should i counter it with 225? or run auction???

Only you can decide, he or she has moved so indicated they are willing to do a deal, hence a £225 counter would seem logical aiming for a £200 reply.

ok thanks will do so, keep you inform.

You have been so helpful.

Many thanks

Good job Takwa, you know now that you have £200 at least which I presume is a nice profit for you, good luck with the auction.

well done

nice little earner well done... as far as hyphens in domains go do not be put off in anyway... the engines look at non generic terms with a hyphen the same as normal single words... ;)
