Hello, I'm new to the forum and don't mind getting to talk to people to see what kind of tips I can learn or just basically gab while I'm doing something on the net. I noticed that the chat room is placed on the lower navbar and am wondering if you have ever considered moving it to a place where people can see more? Perhaps it will create a little bit more community amongst the regulars

I've never even noticed acorn had a chat room before...

Probably a good thing as I expect I'd get banned fairly quickly in a live chat environment :)

This is an excellent point. It's there, but no-one notices it. With conversion rate optimisation being a subject close to my heart, I would say it needs a high visibility button, like this one:

Admin - you can have that button if you want.

Great to hear others would appreciate this idea as well. I just couldn't understand that on a forum which seems to have so much action does not really make use out of the live chat situation.

Hope to see this pull through as I'm a chat addict and love learning new things from people :D

The obvious advantage of chat is that it does not involve telling the whole web about what you know - just the people you are chatting with.
