Wanted: Domain Appraisal fat.so

Anyone have any idea what this one might be worth?

I managed to get it a while back at auction just after the .so extension became available. I guess it has good branding potential with a "fat? - so what?" type site or could be used to ridicule the overweight!

Sorry, but .so is a horrible TLD for domaining purposes. It's very possible that there have been more sales in .tel than .so... to give you an idea.
I don't think many Somalians even have any interest in it.

Sounds nice this domain but it's too offensive

Maybe put a spin on it and use it as a bookmarking site " that site is fat " as in it's a big site which is good 8)

Perhaps i'm just completely lacking in the creativity department but I can't see any easy way to turn this into a revenue earning site worth bothering with. The only concept I can see is the ridicule the fat man angle but not sure if that would work out. Having said that in the sick world we live in, you probably could attract a load of likes/followers on fb that you could post photos of obese people to and they would share the photos for the world to laugh at. Very poor form though and unless you are really desperate to put food on your family's plates, there must be less sadistic ways to make money online (not saying you would persue this avenue, but if you did).

Major drawback is not very many folk out there in the general public have heard of the .so extension.

Develop into a diet and health site maybe or a fetish site lol!

Yeah adult fetish or dating was the idea I had for it however like you said .so is not very well known so big marketing spend would be required. However great brand able name.

Also not sure how .SO would rank in UK/USA index.

Yanks used buy these type hoping to sell as a “brand” but market reality has seen many a dream tumble..? I’d say slim chance of finding anyone who’s going to create a brand around it… ridicule site where’s the money in that ? You do only need someone else that wants to buy for a sale good luck in finding them ?
