Expired domains but not suspended ?

I've noticed some co.uk domains which have expired but the website is still live and the whois status is not suspended ?

Maybe I've got it wrong but I thought domains were suspened for 90ish days if they weren't renewed ?

Domains don't normally get suspended until a month after expiry, so for the remaining two months (out of the total 92 days) they will be suspended.
