Hi,

I am selling http://www.etaxi.co.uk.

Its a wordpress CMS, but heavily modified.

The database was bought, but I have modified it and all the metadata so should be pretty original.

There is about 350 pages in google indexed and it has been up and running two weeks.

The real value is in the domain.

I have previously had offers £500 and looking to sell website and domain for offers above.

I have already had emails with people wanting to submit their company.

Give it a few months and a little promotion and presto!!

Before anyone decides to ask the usual questions, site has been live two weeks, 100+ uniques already, no income as no adverts.

My advice

Just grab what you can get and be happy.
The future with all directory listings is with .tel
I found one site for taxi listings northantstaxi.tel
The similar site can be set up in an hour for about $10
You have no chance to compete

Thanks for your advice but this is a sales thread and you can not set it up for $10 which shows your ignorance.

But thanks!

I can understand why you are getting nervous and YES you can have a similar
page set up in a very short period of time for about $10 so this is you who is ignorant not me

What are you going on about? I am not "nervous" - I have over 100+ domain and website sales in the 9 years I have been in this business. I have a track record in the UK market and many many happy customers many of which are on this board.

Maybe when you can read English properly you can comment on my "feelings".

Your calculations are also appalling, how about you consider:

- domain name cost (which is more or less $10 on its own)
- hosting fees
- man hours spent developing website
- theme cost
- database cost (also man hours customising the data so its unique)
- the domain name alone is a gem and I have had many bids for it on Sedo

The future is not with .tel - I do not see any sales of any significance any any forums of the .tel domain - the website you linked is rubbish. Are there any big companies out there using .tel??

When you can add some value to a thread then please comment, otherwise keep your comments to yourself!

I can understand you being nervous and rude.
If you own .tel site your costs are very low and it takes very short time to develop.

If I ever get lost in the middle of the night somewhere in Northants and need a taxi do you think I will go to your website and start looking all over the world or do I go straight to the site I mentioned.
Yes .tel is not popular yet because it's only 2 months old. Just give it some time and you will never sell a website like yours.
In time there will be directories for taxi, restaurants, hotels, doctors, lawyers and many others.
It will come because it's so cheap and easy to operate and you keep on developing your lousy sites. After all you can always pass it on to your children or granchildren and tell them how proud of your developing skills you are
