Email spam on the rise again

At the end of December, the volume of spam emails plummeted to its lowest level in over two years, meaning some respite from unsolicited emails offering dubious pharmaceutical products or dodgy get-rich-quick schemes. Roughly 30 billion spam emails were sent daily at the end of December, compared with 200 billion per day in August.
