Dropcatcher

Hi Guys

Wonder if anyone can help..

I enrolled the help of dropcatcher recently and they caught 2 domain names for me! Fantastic!

However these are the only times i've used dropcatcher and i cannot see how i get these domain names transferred to my nominet account... they have registered them, in my name, and their tag, but i've not heard from nominet re transfer and nor have i heard from them after sending dropcatcher an email asking what next!

Can anybody help please?

Is there a link or something in my account that i did not see? I received email from dropcatcher telling me they caught the domains!

Any help appreciated

Is there an option to do a tag change in your members area if they were caught in your name this is all you should have to do

The email address that you have registered with dropcatcher isn't necessarily the same as the one you may have registered with Nominet.
Give dropcatcher your preferred email address for Nominet's transfer email to be sent to then follow their instructions.

Hi, thank you for your replies,

AssetDomains - no there is no where in the members area to change anything.

DaveLeeds - The email address I registered with is OK to use, although I did contact them and ask them to use another! But no response from my email! I would have expected an email from Nominet at either email address! Also, I gave them my DNS Servers an these have not been set up either - at least that way I would be able to do something if they had set them!!!

Well, I'll just have to wait for them to reply!

Assuming the the domains are registered to an email you have access to you could do a TAG change via nominet it would cost £10 + vat though.
If your not in a hurry maybe best to wait until you can get a reply

Just to add you can do the names at the same time to pay one fee

You won't hear from Nominet unless DropCatcher sets up a transfer through them. Nominet do not get directly involved in domain registrations via registrars.

Normally, DropCatcher should agree to retag the domains to whatever registrar you want to use, but you need to let them know which tag that is.

Hi guys,

So I logged in to Nominet and paid the £10 ! - And managed to transfer 3 domains - Originally I thought it would cost £10 each, but as AssetDomains rightly points out it is per transaction, not per domain name. Bargain!!!!!

Thanks Edwin. I'm not sure why I didn't hear from dropcatcher - they do not ask for a new TAG... Anyway, all done now! Question is, will I used them again.. Probably, just have to factor the £10 Nominet fee in!!!

Hi OrangeProblems... I have some association with the guys at DropCatcher and I'm told that if you just submit a contact form (http://dropcatcher.co.uk/contact-us) to ask them to release the domain, they'll do so for free.
